A customer service representative’s primary responsibility is to address and resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner. Support representatives interact with customers via a variety of channels, including phone, email, and social media, and ensure that all valid customer concerns are addressed as soon as possible.

Fixing hardware and software problems Installing and maintaining computer hardware and peripherals. Installing and upgrading computer operating systems and software. Troubleshooting network and connection problems

Network support technicians design and maintain information technology networks. They keep track of network performance, optimise server capacity, and keep networks and data secure. They also repair network errors at client sites and upgrade networks.

Sysadmins are in charge of hardware and software asset management, troubleshooting, licencing, and updating. You will ensure that appropriate measures are taken proactively in response to unanticipated issues such as IT outages or zero-day exploits.

The primary role of Technical Support is to troubleshoot computer, phone, tablet, modem, internet, networks, software, and other similar issues. To that end, they do things like answer customer questions to learn about their situation. Asking questions to gain a better understanding of what is wrong.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Proven work experience as a desk support engineer or helpdesk technician.
  • Advanced knowledge of hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules and peripherals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Certification in Microsoft, Linux or Cisco is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in helpdesk, desk support or a similar role. 
  • System administrator needs a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, IT systems administration or another related field.
  • However, you can also opt for certification programs with a focus on hardware, computer networking, and systems administration.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • VMware Certified Professional 6 Data Center Virtualization
  • Oracle Linux System Administrator (Oracle)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Certification in Microsoft, Linux or Cisco is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in helpdesk, desk support or a similar role. Windows/Linux/Mac OS domain.
